Gift Ideas for Women

Breast Cancer Gifts

We have a line of breast cancer jewelry and even some scarves and ornaments to let that special person know that you are thinking of them. Although our collection changes, we also carry angels, an Annalee bear, a car magnet and a set of four coasters. Particularly popular is the pocket token ($3.99). New this season is the line from Elizabeth Lucas titled “What Cancer Cannot Do”. It is certainly inspiring and we invite you to feel the hope.

Get Well Gifts

We often like to take a “little something” to the hospital or home to help keep the recovering person entertained.

Popular for this occasion has been our trivia books, Quizmo trivia game (especially for the guys but women like them too), the terra cotta “Comfort Candles”, cookbooks (they tell me some folks just like to read them????), notecards (especially the ones by Lang), the “Hugs” series of books, and our smaller sizes of lotions and bath goodies. New this year, we have a wonderful poem that talks about what cancer can’t do (see the desciption above). Stop in to read it if you need a quick pick-me-up.

Thinking of You…or Me Gifts

Forget the top five here---our store is FULL of gifts for women! Instead, here are five NEW items that we are either getting in (or that are in) that we think we will HOT, HOT, HOT.

  1. Brightly-colored travel jewelry, lipstick, and CD cases. Very inexpensive (most under $10) but very very cute. We are also getting matching frames and a 2-photo case too! We’ll be showcasing this line during our Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Event, but let us know if you’d like to see it prior to that August event.
  2. Ne’Qwa Fragrance Lamps---don’t even THINK you will come in here without seeing these. We just love them! Each beautifully boxed lamp will also come with a certificate for the gift recipient (or giver) to receive a free bottle of fragrance oil for their lamp. These run $65. each, but have an even greater value when you consider the $15.00 bottle of oil that we’re throwing in for free! Also available are the beautiful (and new this year) tealight candles from Ne’Qwa and a variety of new reverse-painted (inside art) ornaments.
  3. Candle Warmers and Sleeves. We just LOVED this idea. Instead of buying a new candle warmer for each season, you buy the warmer unit just once and then change the “sleeve” for each season. What a clever idea…and how come I didn’t think of that!
  4. New “story” bracelets. The “His-Story” bracelet sales went through the roof last Christmas and they now have story bracelets for a number of occasions. I think my favorite is the Serenity Prayer bracelet as it fits for lots of “special” occasions as well as every day! In our fall catalog we’ll be featuring the Nativity style, but in stock right now we have the two patriotic themes, a Mother’s and a Grandmother’s, the Lord’s Prayer.
  5. Greeting Cards. Most of you love our great deal on the Hen House line of cards (only $1.00 each when you buy 10 or more at a time) but the ones that will make you laugh out loud are from a new line for us called Shade Tree Greeting Cards (from Rochester, NY too!) I have already earmarked some for certain people that I know! The laugh you’ll have, and the one that you hear, will make you realize what a bargain they are at only $2.50.
